Chris Noth Net Worth $15.5 Million
Chris lost his father, Charles James Noth, an attorney, when he was 12, and lived in different parts of the UK, Spain and Czechoslovakia with his two older brothers and his CBS news reporter mother Jeanne Parr. He eventually graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in drama from the Yale School of Drama, where he was coached by Stanford Meisner, and where he performed in about 25 plays. Noth then worked with a number of theatre companies including the Manhattan Theatre Club before making his debut on television in 1982. TV shows and small roles in movies like “Off Beat” (1986) and “Baby Boom” (1987). followed, before Noth rose to prominence playing Det. Mike Logan in “Law and Order” for five seasons from 1990-95. Even so, all these roles contributed to Chris’ growing net worth
Chris appeared in minor roles in several TV and big screen movies before he was cast as Mr. Big in “Sex and the City” in 1998, which ran for several seasons and over 40 episodes. He also worked with Tom Hanks and Helen Hunt in “Cast Away” (2000) and in the 2001 thriller “The Glass House”. Noth also starred in a Broadway revival of “The Best Man” in 2000. In the year 2008, Noth left the series “Law and Order”, to reprise his role of Mr. Big in the “Sex and the City” films in 2008 and 2010, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Chris’ net worth grew consistently during this period.
Also in 2000 Chris became the spokesperson for the “Biotherm” line of male skin–care products in America. Noth played Phil Romano from the 1972 version of the Broadway play “That Championship Season” in the year 2011. This role was originated by his “Law and Order” colleague Paul Sorvino, and became a big hit.
Noth currently appears in the CBS series “The Good Wife”, since its airing in 2009, and since 2013, he has appeared regularly in the theatre festival of Napa Valley, California by the name of “Plaza Del Sol” along with the actor Dennis Haysbert.
Noth co-owns a music venue, “The Cutting Room” in NYC with former Berklee student, Steve Walter. Opened in 1999 employing Tara Lynn Wilson, Noth fell in love with Wilson and married her in 2012. The two have a son named Orion Christopher Noth, who was born in 2008.
Noth co-owned a semi-private club “The Plumm” with Noel Ashman, Damon Dash, Joey McIntyre, David Wells, Ann Dexter-Jones and Bo Dietl. Noth and Wilson also ran a tea-party themed restaurant called “Once upon a Tea Cup”. The franchise had branches in Windsor and London, Ontario.
Noth has also performed as a singer and now supports Da Marino of New York. With so many talents a successful continuation of Chris’ career seems assured.

1 | I don't know the politics of Hollywood. Am I hungry for great material? Every actor is. How I can get to it, that's another story. |
2 | I have been walking these [New York] streets and taking subways all of my adult life, and before I was just another face in the crowd. It's pretty annoying to be suddenly looked at as some exotic bird in the zoo. |
3 | [on why he left Law & Order (1990)]: "'Law and Order' is completely story-driven and completely characterless, really. If you do that format for five years and you're an actor, you're bound to get bored. It wears on you. And it was really wearing on me. But you need a job, and I felt awfully blessed to be in New York City and to be doing a show that was considered intelligent in the world of TV. But hey, five years is enough time." |
4 | I don't like NYPD Blue (1993) because it tries to pretend it's a New York show. You know it's shot in a Hollywood back-lot. It's so L.A., so un-New York....They all try to talk New York. They all sound stupid. Law & Order (1990) is one hundred times more authentic. |
